Luke—the author of the Gospel by his name and the book of Acts—was one of the Bible’s most unique writers. He was a gentile, a doctor by profession, a chronicler of early Christian history, and a missionary. He never met Jesus, yet he is the only Gospel to tell the full story of Christ—from His birth to His ministry, His sacrifice, and His return to heaven.
