To be clear, this is NOT the official position of the Seventh-day Adventist Church; still, support for this view is growing. This biblical response shares the conviction of the film makers in that homosexual individuals and couples are deeply loved by God and should always be treated with kindness and respect—which, unfortunately, has not always been the case. Nevertheless, this biblical response also demonstrates that the Bible itself does NOT support, endorse, or affirm a gay lifestyle. Instead, love, forgiveness, healing, and transformation from this or any sin are offered only through Jesus Christ.

The film, Seventh-Gay Adventists, produced and directed by Daneen Akers and Stephen Eyer, promotes the idea that if Adventist congregations are to reflect the loving image of Jesus, they should offer full acceptance to committed, monogamous, same-sex couples.

Produced primarily for Adventists, this DVD may also be of interest to Christians of other denominations that may be struggling with the same controversy.
