Selwyn Hawken has done a huge amount of work in bringing together the stories of the Adventist church in Northern Australia in this way. The value of a work of such detail is that it not only sketches the broad overview of history but includes the smaller storeys that give us glimpses of the people, attitudes, faith and determination of many of those who worked in these places before us.
